Hot Tub & Spa Wiring Colorado Springs
Code-compliant 240V hot tub and spa wiring with proper GFCI disconnect, installed by a licensed master electrician.

Enjoy Your Hot Tub With Safe Electrical Installation
A new hot tub is a great addition to any Colorado home — until you find out the electrical install costs more than you budgeted, takes longer than expected, or fails inspection because it wasn’t done right. Most spas need a dedicated 240V circuit, a GFCI-protected disconnect within sight of the tub, and a code-compliant conduit run from your panel
The Wire Wizards handles the entire electrical side of any hot tub or spa install. We coordinate with your spa dealer, pull the permit, run the wire, mount the disconnect, and verify the GFCI operation before sign-off.
HOT TUB & SPA ELECTRICAL SERVICES
We provide complete wiring and installation solutions for all types of hot tubs and spa systems.

240V GFCI-Protected Disconnect Installation
The disconnect is the box you’ll see mounted near your hot tub — typically 5 to 15 feet from the tub itself, within sight, and easy to reach in case of emergency. The disconnect contains the GFCI breaker that protects everyone using the tub from ground faults. Code is specific about location, mounting height, and clearance, and we install to spec every time.

Dedicated Circuit Run from the Panel
Hot tubs need their own dedicated circuit — typically a 50A or 60A 240V run, depending on the spa model. We size the wire properly for the run length, install the appropriate breaker in your panel, and run the conduit either through the attic, under the house, or buried in trench depending on what’s appropriate for the layout.

Sub-Panels for Spa Pads and Outdoor Living Areas
If you’re building out a full backyard spa pad with multiple loads — hot tub, lighting, outlets, maybe a sauna — a dedicated outdoor sub-panel is often the cleanest solution. We size the sub-panel for current and future loads, run the feeder, and install in a NEMA-rated enclosure built for outdoor exposure.

Plug-In to Hardwire Conversions
Some smaller spas come configured to plug into a 120V outlet, but most full-size hot tubs need to be hardwired. If you bought a spa that needs to be converted from a plug-in setup to a hardwired install, we’ll pull out the existing cord, install the proper conduit and disconnect, and convert the connection at the spa control box.
COORDINATE EARLY
Schedule the electrical install before your spa arrives — not after.
The most common hot tub installation delay we see is the electrical work being booked too late. Permits take time. Material runs aren’t always same-day. If you’ve ordered a spa, get the electrical scheduled now so the wiring is ready when the tub arrives.

WHY Us
Outdoor living done right, from Colorado Springs to the foothills
Hot tub usage in Colorado runs heavy — mountain views, cold winter nights, and a strong outdoor-living culture make spas one of the most common backyard additions across El Paso County.
We also handle a lot of mountain-home and cabin spa installs in the Black Forest, Manitou Springs, and Monument areas, where panel capacity, wire run lengths, and outdoor exposure all factor into the install. A spa wired correctly from the start lasts decades; a spa wired incorrectly fails its first GFCI test or trips repeatedly under load.
